He’s just dishing them out: Barely six months after his formidable EP “Ribbon Twist” (Ware 79) Ziggy Kinder treats us to another killer, the double a-side “Assbomb/Longcat”. As both pieces are so strong and distinct, we ummed and ahhed about how to call the EP and how to place the two tracks, until we ended up with this variation: Ware’s very first double A-side! “Assbomb” is an insane funk trip to the deep realms of Ziggy’s humour, a track with maximum party factor and plenty of potential for eternity. “Longcat” docks on to the housy tracks of the “Ribbon Twist” B-side, with the clever addition of well-dosed hymn genes. On Ware, Ziggy Kinder has released five EPs – “Mikro Tanz” (ware 48), “Viel Bass & wenig Hund” (ware 53), “Ohrenfänger” (ware 57), “Tongue Attack” (ware 72), “Ribbon Twist” (ware 79) – and his album “Akkrobatik” (Ware 64/Ware CD 16). Also he and Mathias Schaffhäuser shared the “10 Jahre Ware” anniversary EP, and he produced remixes e. g. for Frankie, Markus Güntner and And.id (in cooperation with Schaffhäuser again). For “Assbomb” there will be an elaborate video clip produced by director Jan Bonni, whose multi award-winning tv drama “Gegenüber” (starring Matthias Brandt, Victoria Trauttmansdorff and Wotan Wilke Möhring) made its debut on ARD. The Ware 83 vinyl version will feature a chic double-front cover with graphics by Tim Stadie, who has already produced the enchanting video for Ziggy’s track “Flip Flop Crash”.
