After having had a wicked summer season 2009 with numerous inspiring moments in music and a lot of sweat, too – weave music shows up again on the scene for launching it’s 29th release – this time it’s the spanish issue! as one can see in the letterhead of this sheet, there is a whole gang of artists contributing their creativity for weave 29. all of these guys belong to the crew around the famous barraca club in valencia / spain. barraca club with no doubt is one of the main references in the spanish clubbing scene. techno, electro, house and minimal come together in this awesome venue, that must be defined as cosmopolitan, multicultural and open-minded. the most well known one of these talented spanish guys probably is RENACE, who – under his alias called “AFFKT” – has had a bunch of stunning releases in the past months, like the stuff he put out on BARRACA MUSIC or 3rd FLOOR, as well as some blasting remixes for REKIDS or MOTHERSHIP that created a good buzz in the scene. music wise, we are pretty sure that the tracks on this 12” should definitely be suitable for everyone who’s into the stuff coming from the usual suspects. they all show tight and precise, yet reduced arrangements, slightly twisted psychic synth sounds, effectively used efx and athmospheres and last but not least an irresistible force that simply makes you wanna rock off your socks on the floor!
