With the onset of warm weather just around the corner, Get Digital usher in Spring flowers and May showers with two smooth and sultry tracks from Pierce and Jerl. The collaboration of long time DJ and accomplished producer Jens Lissat and Pierce Treude. Their collaborations have appeared on My Best Friend, and the eTools label of Marc Romboy. In the last year they have honed their sound while incorporating a wide variety of influences and styles. ‘Amourette’ stands out due to its gently strummed Latin guitar and 1960’s musical style female vocal, quite an unusual touch, but employed with brilliant results. Slowly shuffling percussion, jittering claves and filtered bells are slid perfectly and subtly into the mix. This is a hit from top to bottom. Frankfurt’s M.in pumps this jam up with a blistering House beat, Chicago style male vocal snippets and a warm bass line that pumps just as much as it does in the low end as it does in the mid range.
The boys turn again to Latin influences on ?Brazilique?; this time visiting the enchanting land of Brazil and their beautiful form of Portuguese. Used in several forms from the out takes of playfully romping children to the old chants of a wise man. It gets even better when the rolling percussion, live drumming and rumbling bass line sonically reveal themselves. This one is sure to be a favorite right through the summer. Look out for further special remixes to be offered digitally only. What a perfect way to cap off this exotic release with some exclusive remixes that also retain the uplifting harmonious vibe of this EP.
