Osunlade - Momma's Groove

The third cut taken to be taken as single from Osunlade’s critically acclaimed ‘Elements Beyond’ long-player is Osunlade at his most quintessential; touches of funk, sophisticated beats, a sharp sax hook and a low-key spoken word vocal musing on musical influences are the building bricks of ‘Momma’s Groove’. The original album mix was already one of our favourites, but Jimpster shows once more why he’s one of the world’s leading deep house producers with a brilliant brace of remixes, firstly with his smoothed out but firmly groovin’ ‘Hip Replacement’ mix and then with a more left of centre, bass-bin shaking, dubbed out ‘Slipped Disc’ mix. And if that isn’t enough neat deepness, Nomumbah rolls in with a pair of subterranean techno-jazz rubs. Momma’s definitely got this groove on.
