Fine Audio strikes again with a new release by Chris Hope and André Walter. The label that was managed by Chris Liebing at the beginning and later on by Michael Burkat is one of leading techno labels since. Until 2006 Manfred Pachl aka MP Nuts took over the A&R. Ad interim the label is part of the Daredo Group. With releases from artists like Lars Klein, Robert Natus, Space Djz, Marco Lenzi & Anderson Noise, Mhonolink, Umek, Gayle San, Ben Sims and more it lays the focus on the tribal and minimal but pushing form of techno since 1997. Now it is time again to take off with some fresh releases, tracks and sounds and for this we engaged newcomer Chris Hope and well known producer André Walter.
“Borderline Syndrome”:
With “Borderline Syndrome” Chris, who reached place three at the readers poll of Groove Magazine in 2004 and André, who produced the very first Fine Audio release together with Chris Liebing, explore the borders of perception and senses. Very fast kicks and a ranging bass are hunting the thoughts right from the beginning. And with their instinct for percussions and highs Chris Hope & André Walter are lifting this up to the next level. But also the fine and fragile synthesizer programming makes this one to a real peak time wonder.
“Game Of Life”:
A little bit calmer than the a side track but as tight as its predecessor but more apocalyptic “Game Of Life” screws itself through the skullcap into the brain. By using these sirens André, who is also well known under his aliases Gecko or Andrew Wooden and founded the Stigmata Imprint and Chris, who had his first co-production with André in 2005 (the “Reanimate E.P. On Audio Assault) create a mood that is minted with panic and fear. Here we find the whole energy spread a techno track should have.
