M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade – Home Remixes Pt. 1

It’s been a while since the last M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade production, but the wait was worth it. As first heard on the delicious Body Language Vol. 10, ‘Home’ is now being passed around and getting the remix treatment with part 1 of the Home EP. Tim Green gives us bass upfront. Right away we’re stomping our feet to a heavy kick, accompanied by the rythmic stabs carried over from the original. Tim delivers a colder, heavier rendition to say the least. Jona opens his mix with lovely melodic rhythm, then takes it up a notch with Booka’s signature chord punches. Throughout the mix, Jona retains a light atmosphere, an airy mix of percussion and ambient synth work. Russian/American duo Monaque lay their hands on the track, adding percussive elements for the hot summer night vibe. Shakers, claps and clever cuts add even more atmosphere to ‘Home’. Beatport Link
